HILTON HEAD, S.C. (Mar. 3, 2025) - The Buena Vista women's tennis team played its first match of the week here on Monday morning but came up short against a tough Wilkes University team, 6-1.

Sophomore Macy Weller picked up her fourth overall singles win of the year and is now 3-2 in the No. 2 slot after she earned a 6-4, 6-3, victory over Julia Spaeth. Earlier in the day, she teamed up with Hailey Meseck and dropped a narrow 7-5 decision at No. 1 doubles.

Wilkes (5-0) went on to win the remaining five singles matches in straight sets to secure the win.

Buena Vista, now 3-2 during the spring and 3-14 overall, returns to the court on Tuesday, Mar. 4, to play Lancaster Bible College at 10 a.m. ET.
